GreenTec Capital co-powering the Afrolynk 2017 Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference with Microsoft

Berlin (Germany), September 2017.  GreenTec Capital Partners is very proud to announce that we will be co-powering the Afrolynk 2017 Technology and Entrepreneurship Conference with Microsoft's 4 Africa initiative on September 1st, 2017 at Microsoft Berlin, Unter den Linden 17, Berlin.

Afrolynk is the first startup platform in Germany that assembles all the stakeholders of the startup ecosystem interested in Africa. The impact-driven Afropreneurship conference will run parallel to an Entrepreneurs Academy Workshop, from 31st August to 2nd September at the SRH Startup Lab.

This is the second year that GreenTec joins Mircrosoft's 4 Africa initiative in powering the conference. GreenTec is supporting the event through its impact investment model and focus on empowering startups and entrepreneurs though capacity building and knowledge transfer. Microsoft's 4 Africa initiative supports the event with its focus on developing world class skills, access, and innovation for youth and entrepreneurs in Africa's tech sector. The event is sponsored by the BWM Foundation Herbert Quant and the Westerwelle Foundation. With additional support from at Acme Consulting, empact Mentoring, Afrika Verein, SRH Hochschule Berlin, the German Corporation for International Development (GIZ), and Afrobytes. 

The impact driven event will bring together policy makers, industry leaders, accelerator hubs, and VC’s and is intended to serve as a bridge between the African tech scene and the Berlin/European Ecosystem. The conference will focus on topics relevant to the development of the African tech sector as well as special panels promoting women’s entrepreneurship, startup pitches, and issues related to investment and social impact in Africa. The conference will feature speakers and panelists from: Chanzo Capital (Ghana), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development Cooperation (BMZ), BISA/Healthcare (Ghana), Finance in Motion (Germany), GreenTec Capital (Germany), Jokkolab (Senegal), Orange (France), Niche Capital (Nigeria), Sunbelt Energy (Germany), Lumos, Tupomoja (Tanzania), Microsoft 4 Africa, and many more. The event will be covered members of both the European and African media including BBC Afrique, Afrobizgermany, Deutsche Welle, Der Tagesspiegel, IT News Africa, Big News, and Journ Africa!
