GreenTec Capital’s Erick Yong at Africa Tech Summit London

London (England) and Frankfurt Germany, June 2019. Earlier this week, GreenTec Capital CEO Erick Yong travelled to the UK to attend the fourth annual Africa Tech Summit in London. Erick joined, representatives from various African startups and other stakeholders from the continent’s tech ecosystem to open trading on the London Stock Exchange on June 11th.

The annually held summit brought together more than 300 African tech entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and other key stakeholders in to drive investment and business forward, as well as including with pitching opportunities for innovators.

The summit opened with participants opening trading at the London Stock Exchange and proceeded to the Africa Tech Summit venue at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St. Paul. The event covered a range of technology topics including fintech, investment, mobility, tech for good, and women in tech. The Africa Tech Summit London is a part of the same series as the flagship Africa Tech Summit Kigali, which will be returning to Rwanda on February 4-6, 2020.

At the summit Erick participated in a panel on early stage investing contributing GreenTec’s perspective on opportunities in the African post-accelerator space. The event also provided opportunities for productive and exciting meetings with large and small players involved in the African tech ecosystem.
