Bismart CEO Eunice Maina invited as an expert speaker at the Africa Insurance and Reinsurance Conference

Nairobi (Kenya) and Frankfurt (Germany). GreenTec Capital is very pleased to report that Bismart founder and CEO participated as an expert speaker to attend the 9th Annual Africa Insurance & Reinsurance Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Annual Africa Insurance and Reinsurance Conference’s theme was “Innovations Disrupting the Insurance Industry – 2019 and beyond” and it brought together executives, brokers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to network and address the many diverse and complex issues facing the sector today. The thematic topics included disruptions from tech-driven consumer behavior, global regulatory changes, and emerging distribution models.

Bismart’s CEO Eunice Maina, is a veteran of the Kenyan insurance industry who founded her company to address the primary consumer pain points she observed. From the consumer side, these are poor understanding of the value of pooled-risk products and a general distrust of the industry due to the tedious and opaque claims processes. Bismart is currently finalizing work on its web and mobile application intended as an end-to-end solution for insurance industry stakeholders and as a powerful tool to bring insurance and financial services to African consumers. Eunice joined speakers on the third panel and provided her view on technological disruption and perspectives in the insurance industry, as well as taking the opportunity to present the Bismart app.
