Kigali (Rwanda) and Frankfurt (Germany), July 2019. GreenTec Capital was in force at the recent GSMA Mobile360 Africa conference in Kigali, Rwanda. The GSMA’s Mobile360 conference series is the organization’s platform for cultivating regional engagement through topics that are impacting the mobile industry on both a localized and global scale. GreenTec’s Moses Acquah was in attendance, as well as, ARED CEO Henri Nyakarundi.
The Mobile360 conference in Kigali was focused around the theme of the “Rise of the digital citizen.” The event convened leaders from Africa’s tech and telecom landscape to share disruptive, provocative, and inspirational ideas contributing to Africa’s digital rise. The conference included a mix of keynotes, panel discussions, and more from Africa’s brightest minds and influential leaders. In addition, attendees partook in Mobile for Development sessions, the annual Mobile Money Leadership Forum alongside an Innovation Showcase, networking initiatives, and more.
The event also attracted ARED CEO Henri Nyakarundi, who was there to promote ARED’s new router solution for expanding African connectivity options and digitalizing businesses. The visit to Kigali also provided Moses Acquah with the chance to visit the Westerwelle Foundation’s Start-up Hub in Kigali and meet the interesting startups in residence there. GreenTec and its ICT focused investees will continue to watch and participate in the GSMA Mobile360 conference series.
