Desigan Chinniah joins GreenTec Capital in the role of Technology Advisor

GreenTec Capital is pleased to announce that Desigan Chinniah has joined our team in the role of Technology Advisor. Mr. Chinniah is an experienced web and technology professional with an impressive track record of working with large and small technology companies, including several Africa-based ventures including Ushahidi and BRCK. He will support GreenTec Capital and its start-ups by providing high-level strategy and helping to develop IT infrastructure to further support GreenTec’s portfolio.

Mr. Chinniah received a Bachelors in Accountancy from the University of Durban Westville and holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. He also pursued a diploma in web and graphic design and multi-media. He has had extensive experience as a designer, developer and project manager from some of the most well-known technology companies such Ask Jeeves, Skype, PayPal X, and Mozilla to name a few. He is now a seasoned tech advisor, startup mentor, and board member to several prominent and up-and-coming companies.

Desigan, or “Dees,” will provide technology advisement to GreenTec and its start-ups as well as help chart a path to develop IT infrastructure to support GreenTec’s portfolio as well as the African start-up eco-system.
