Abidjan, (Cote D’Ivoire) and Frankfurt (Germany), October 2019. Members of GreenTec Capital Partners are attending the first edition of #EntrepreneursOnTheMove: Investing in Africa’s Future, organized by the GreenTec Capital Africa Foundation.
#EOM is currently taking place at the Chamber of Commerce and the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The goal of #EOM is to catalyze actions towards supporting and investing in African entrepreneurs so that they can grow and scale their businesses. In doing so, #EOM looks beyond the borders of countries and regions and includes startups and supporters from all across Africa. The event is collaboratively presented by the Land of African Business and the GreenTec Capital Africa Foundation.
#EOM is already in its final day with the previous days’ sessions focusing on Africa’s Francophone regions followed by expanding to a pan-African focus with speaking sessions and discussion with key decision-makers from the policy and investment sector. The third day ended with a prize ceremony for the start-ups competing in the African Rethink Awards. Today, startups and supporters are invited to take part in interactive sector-specific sessions with inputs from successful startups and relevant ecosystem enablers. An evening reception themed “Celebrating African Ingenuity” with the nominees of the African Innovation Prize for Africa will close the three-day conference.
