Frankfurt (Germany), July 2020. GreenTec Capital is very pleased to report that Biophyto CEO Gildas Zodome was featured in the first edition of The Nest Francophone Africa. The Nest is a platform that connects frontier market founders with Global Business Angels.
Gildas joined entrepreneurs Edem Adjamagbo (Semoa), Franck Agossou (EasySoft), as finalists with the opportunity to pitch to three angel investors on the program. The three finalists were selected from more than 250 entrants for the first French-language version of the angel-matching program. Gildas’ pitch was full of passion and determination and attracted active interest from a consortium of potential investors that expressed interest in supporting the company with financing, market access, and networking with other agricultural investors and funds. Biophyto engaged in talks with business angels including: Sewu Steve Tawia; the CEO of Togo Food and vice-president of Togolese employers, Yiva Badohu; Jonas Daou, a Togolese investor; Lionel, Zinzou, former Prime Minister of Benin; Laurent Lamothe, form Haitian Prime Minister and his R Ventures, as well as Julio Mupemba for I&P.
