Frankfurt (Germany), March 2021. GreenTec Capital is pleased to announce that Andrew Gwadiva has joined the leadership team as Vice President, Growth. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with DFIs, Foundations, Investors, Enterprise Support Organisations (ESOs), and other entities involved in the development and strengthening of the African entrepreneurship ecosystem.
He brings entrepreneurial expertise having founded a company that provides secure housing solutions in informal settlements. He also built Zao Invest, an African investment consultancy for the diaspora and wider investment community.
He is a member of the Global Shaper Community (GSC), an initiative of the World Economic Forum. He serves as an Africa Partnership Lead for Shaper Impact Capital an organisation founded by a team of experienced VCs who are part of the GSC.
Prior to joining GreenTec Capital, he worked as head of investor relations and a venture partner for a leading ESO that focuses on growth-stage companies across Africa. His experience spurs across Africa’s top-performing pension schemes, banks, and VCs. Mr. Gwadiva holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science as well as a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from the University of Nairobi.
Mr. Gwadiva loves to build communities; he coordinates a run club community, he is passionate about talent development, new cuisines, hiking and travelling. He is a functional fitness CrossFit enthusiast and practices meditation.
