Frankfurt (Germany), September 2021. GreenTec Capital is pleased to share that Dr. Arie Ben Josef, Lead Business Venture Builder, attended The Evening of the Entrepreneurs, hosted by the American German Business Club (AGBC).
Last week, Arie joined the sponsors, mentors and friends of the AGBC Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow (EoT) 2021 competition at the rooftop of the Frankfurt OmniTurm, honoring and celebrating the young & aspiring entrepreneurs and their supporters.
EoT is a Business Plan Competition for students in grades 9 – 13. Entrants compete with students from schools across the Rhein-Main region to produce the best entrepreneurial ideas and business plans. All entrants gain insights into entrepreneurship, startups, and business from their assigned mentors and from participating in workshops about marketing, finance, and presentation skills. The business plans are judged by a panel of local experts, and the top five finalists selected are then asked to present their business plans in front of an audience and a panel of judges at the event´s Awards Ceremony. The winning business plan receives a prize of 1.000 Euros and total awards exceed 2.000 Euros per year.
Arie is an expert in assessing and building start-up ventures. Besides his work identifying and capacity-building African startups with great potential, he teaches Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship to students at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, as well as supervising MBA students writing entrepreneurial business plans as their Master theses. The event was a unique opportunity to meet new mind-like individuals interested in both fostering entrepreneurship and engaging with the African startup ecosystem. As Arie said, “One cannot but be optimistic about the future of entrepreneurship globally when one learns of the great achievements of the entrants of this year’s competition, and simultaneously look out west to the sun setting over the Frankfurt skyline.”
