GreenTec Capital at AFSIC 2021 in London

London background at night

Frankfurt (Germany) and London (England), October 2021. GreenTec Capital CFO Thomas Festerling and Head of Financial Solutions Norbert Reeg traveled to London, England for The AFSIC 2021 Investing in Africa Conference and Expo on October 11th-12th 2021. AFSIC is regarded as the largest annual African investment event outside of Africa. The two-day event featured a full program of keynotes, special sessions, and country-focused networking events

The GreenTec team was very pleased to be attending the first physical AFSIC event since 2019 and were eager to be able to meet and work with colleagues in person. The event provided excellent networking opportunities with potential co-investors and ecosystem actors. AFSIC also afforded chances to discuss GreenTec’s second planned fund with actors and players across the African investment landscape.

The invigorating event was a breath of fresh air and the team greatly enjoyed meeting and working with colleagues in person. One of AFSIC’s goals is to facilitate investing in Africa. The team’s interactions and exchanges only reinforced the need for more financing, especially for the early-stage segment. GreenTec’s Africa focused fund will aim to provide this much needed capital to tech-enabled Startups on the continent. To learn more, please contact Norbert Reeg and Alhaji Allie Bangura
